Jenn and Robin travelled from Regina for their small mountain wedding. They opted to do the family photos before the ceremony, and we chose the stunningly blue Lake Minnewanka for our location. It was quite a warm day, so there were many visitors enjoying the lakeshore and the cool water. This made arranging everyone a bit of a challenge, but we managed and ended up with lovely images. Jenn and Robin then followed me to the top of Mt Norquay for some couple shots. After the hustle and bustle of the lake, the peace and quiet was welcome, and gave them a chance to relax a little. Jenn wore a beautiful long veil, and we had fun trying to set it flying in the breeze. Soon enough though it was time to leave and make it all official.
The ceremony was held in Cascade Gardens in Banff. At the peak of summer the garden is in full bloom and is gorgeous for wedding photos. Little Lincoln happily played on the grass while his parents said their vows in a simple, casual ceremony, then after few more family photos everyone left for dinner. I met up with Jenn and Robin at sunset for a few extra photos. Canmore’s mountains and pastel skies gave us the perfect setting for some amazing and romantic dusk images.
