Peter planned a surprise Lake Louise proposal for his girlfriend Sally, but our early morning plans were a little foiled by the cloud hovering over the glacier. It seemed as though the cloud was never going to leave, so we just had to get things happening. They came down from their room onto the meadow and he quickly popped the question, and got the answer he was hoping for. They’ve since moved back to Australia, but will have these memories for the rest of their lives. Our mountains give such joy to so many people; despite the chaos and the crowds of summer, everyone has a story and remembering why we are all here helps us all to focus on what’s important in life.
