I’m not sure you could come up with a much colder day for a wedding – so cold that I had to tell people not to breathe during outdoor photos. It was somewhere between -30 and -35. Luckily Melisa and Terry were not about to let a little cold weather prevent them from getting their mountain scenery shots.
As with many mountain weddings, there are lots of DIY and personal touches. Like all the brides I work with, Melissa was calm, relaxed and having fun, which is the best way to be on your wedding day! Terry took it all in his stride as well, and looked very dashing in his suit. The photo session was a little shorter than I like due to the extreme cold, but we still got enough variety and it did give the bride a groom a chance to enjoy their cocktail hour and spend time with their guests. It also gave me plenty of time to capture the lovely details in the reception room before it was filled with people. All in all, I think everything worked out pretty well and Melissa and Terry made the ultimate commitment to each other in what really was an amazing day.
