Cara and Louie had a simple morning ceremony at the Iron Goat followed by a champagne toast and reception. Their son performed admirably as a ring-bearer, and Nomi Whalen did her usual warm welcoming ceremony, making everyone feel at ease.
After a delicious lunch (thanks Cindy for having a vegetarian meal made for me!), wedding shoe game and cake cutting, we headed out to the dog park at Quarry Lake for some family photos. My most favourite part of the day was, of course, taking the newlyweds into the forest and shooting in the gorgeous fall scenery. Having those yellow leaves to frame a couple allows for so many creative options.
These two showed how elegant a small family wedding in the mountains can be.
