A non-refundable retainer/deposit is required for ALL sessions, no exceptions, and must be paid at least 72 hours before your session. Being stood up is not much fun at all, which is why there is also a 72 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY. Your session is not booked until the booking form is completed and the deposit paid.
Newborn session are held in my Cochrane studio on weekdays. Weekends may be available but not guaranteed. Please be sure to arrange for the appropriate time off for your session.
The studio requires at least 72 hours notice for any change to the session time or date. A lot more happens behind the scenes than simply turning up and pushing a button, and other clients are also waiting to be scheduled in.
If you cancel your session within 72 hours, your retainer/deposit/session fee is forfeit. Outside of 72 hours, or with a reason the studio deems acceptable, the deposit will be transferred to a new session date. Unexpected things can happen where newborn babies are involved, so it’s important to contact me ASAP if you can’t make your session at the agreed upon date and time, so that I can open that time up for someone else and reschedule your session.
In cases of severe weather, rescheduling is at the photographer’s discretion. Please be a little flexible on session time, and possibly even the date. Highways can be closed due to accidents and road conditions may be unsafe – when the weather is that bad it’s impossible to shoot anyway! Light rain is fine; downpours, blizzards and flooding is not. Mountain weather can be unpredictable so please be prepared and willing to change your plans if at all possible. No photo is worth a life, safety first.
The studio reserves the right to end a session if anyone involved is uncooperative and making it too difficult to continue. Please show respect for your photographer and any assistants. We are here to make beautiful images for you! We can’t do that if all parties are not willing participants in the session. No money will be refunded if a session is ended due to non-cooperation.
The studio uses images from your session online in web galleries, social media and blogging. Showing recent work is how people find me! You are welcome to share any images posted online, but please don’t crop and remove watermarks, and if facebook crops the image, I sure do appreciate a shout-out! Some of your friends might want lovely photos too 🙂
If you prefer your images to be private, an extra fee applies. But think of it this way, you are really getting a discount for allowing me to use the images I create for you!
