What a wonderful wedding this was. A celebration of love, family and togetherness. Fun and games keeping little kids and adults entertained, (life sized Jenga, anyone?), tears, laughter, everything a wedding should be. The stories were heartfelt and emotional, and sometimes funny, and there was never a dull moment.
The look was part Asian and part rustic, with paper flowers and feathers, wood signs, and a colour combination of white, gold and red perfectly blended into an elegant theme. Chealsey and Jeff used one of their engagement photos to make a back wall of a glass card box, and people took their turn at ‘painting’ the fingerprint tree, writing tiny initials next to their print in gold.
Given that portrait time was in the middle of the day, on a bright sunny day at that, I just love that Chealsey and Jeff made time in their schedule for evening photos as well. As we were still enjoying dinner at sunset, we went out under the stars a little later before heading back inside for dancing.
Chealsey: Jeff and I met in Banff 5 years ago. He was on an annual snowboard trip with the boys and I was just out for a weekend away from the city. We were staying with friends who turned out to be roommates! We hit it off and Jeff started the ‘Love Commute’ to and from Calgary and Edmonton every weekend to spend time with me, it worked and we both fell in love!
Chealsey: knew when he kept coming back weekend after weekend and would stay even until 3am Monday morning just to be together a few hours longer.
Jeff: figured it out during those first few drives too.
Mountain comfy with a bit of glam.
Taking pictures on the hill with just Jeff and Ginevre. Fun, intimate and honest.
