Bonnie & Jovan got married in ‘monsoon June’ at Moraine Lake, and thankfully it was one of the few days that month where it didn’t rain. Their small ceremony was held on top of the rockpile under the trees. The lake had thawed out just a few days earlier, revealing the stunning turqoise water it is famous for.
Getting married here is about as good as it gets, with stunning views all around. Bonnie braved the long walk to the top in gorgeous sparkly heels, and after some hesitation about the route to take, proceeded to make her way to the official ‘aisle’ starting at the stop.
Photographing a wedding here is actually quite a challenge; I found myself scrambling between bushes and over rocks numerous times to photograph the ceremony from different angles. Everything went smoothly and once we got to my favourite part – the bride and groom portraits – I had fantastic scenery and foregrounds to choose from. I was thrilled to be a part of their day and want to give a huge congratulations to the newlyweds!
